So
you like the high life, and dining at high-end restaurants and cafés
comes as a part of this package. Singapore has no dearth of options
in this case. No matter the cuisine you prefer, you will find a fine
dining restaurant of your liking with décor that will practically
transport you to the Queen’s Palace. Or somewhere similar.

Here
are some you must definitely visit if a classy dinner is what you
want:
Pasta
Brava:
Fresh, hand-made pasta, Pasta Brava is an amazing Italian restaurant.
Very classic Italian interiors. They also provide you crayons to
doodle on the white tablemat while waiting for your food! More fun
for your dinner date; you can play Pictionary if you run out of
things to say.
Definitely
try the pastas here. The Linguine Regina Del Mare ($23) is
recommended if you like tomato-based seafood pasta.
Club
Street Social:
Any place that serves all-day breakfast items is fine with me.
Scrambled Eggs, Fontina, Chives and Toast ($12) is an excellent
choice to savour their runny and creamy eggs. Club Street Social is
quite intimately small, and transforms into a more bustling drinking
hole at night. Food is quite good. However, if you are looking for a
large quantity you might be disappointed. Servings are quite small.
If you go during the weekend, the place might be crowded. Overall
experience was good.
Les
Amis: It’s
French. And it has the most drool-worthy collection of wine and
cheese. Need we say anything further? The place is done up keeping
modern design trends in mind that compliments the fusion menu of the
place perfectly. The Europe-meets-Asia concept has made this one of
the more popular restaurants of the region. This place is made up
beautifully and serves traditional French cuisine. If that’s what
you like then this place is certainly for you. You will find mini
croissant being served as petite-fours. The service that this
restaurant offers is quite good. Its just that it is a little costly.
But then all good things come at a price!!
Akashi:
If you like casual Japanese food and want to avoid the mass-market
Sushi Tei, Akashi is the indie version to go to. A more bustling
restaurant, choose Akashi if you don’t want to have awkward
silences during your date. The Coconut Groove location is slightly
larger in comparison to the South Miami location. One of the reasons
could be because it slightly extents to the outdoor courtyard. The
food is quite good and the service is also appreciable. I would
definitely visit this place one more time if I happen to visit this
city again.
Bistro
à Table:
Another fusion cuisine place heavily influenced by the French. Its
architecture draws a lot of inspiration from Australian and French
décor styles and trends and Parisian art will greet you from every
corner as you sit to dine.
